Engineering work for Today

Amended overnight Great Northern trains from Monday 20 to Thursday 23 January

Overnight engineering work is taking place at various locations of the Great Northern network, closing some lines,

Each night Monday to Thursday from approximately 23:00 until the end of service, the following alterations will apply:

The 22:39 / 23:09 London Kings Cross to Kings Lynn are replaced by buses between Ely and Kings Lynn.

Trains from Alexandra Palace to London Kings Cross will not call at Hornsey or Harringay. Customers should use London Buses to / from Hornsey or Harringay.

No overnight trains at Moorgate from Monday to Friday - finishing Friday 15 May

Between Moorgate and Hertford North / Welwyn Garden City / Watton-at-Stone / Stevenage

Network Rail will be carrying out tunnel maintenance, as well as preparatory work ahead of installing new signalling equipment.

Until Friday 15 May 2020, lines to and from Moorgate will be closed overnight from Monday to Friday.

Each night, Monday to Friday, the work will start at approximately 22:00 finishing at 04:00 the following morning. 

Trains that normally run to / from Moorgate will be diverted to run to / from London Kings Cross.

Valid tickets can be used on London Buses / London Underground services between Moorgate and Finsbury Park.

    The lifts will be out of order from now until further notice at Hatfield station.

    This affects Great Northern and Thameslink services towards Welwyn Garden City. Please speak to station staff for further assistance.
    Step free access is still available between platform 1 and the exit.

  • Luton Airport Parkway: Lifts out of order

    The lifts will be out of order between the overbridge and platform 2 and 3 from now until further notice at Luton Airport Parkway station.
    Additional Information:
    This affects Thameslink and East Midlands services towards Bedford and London . Please speak to station staff for further assistance.
