Flight disruption at UK airports

Due to issues affecting Air Traffic Control on Tuesday 8th September 2026 there are widespread delays and cancellations to flights going to and from the airports on our network.

If you’ve already bought your train tickets and your flight been affected by this disruption:

  • If you have rescheduled your flight, you can use your train ticket on the day your flight has been rescheduled to. You’ll need to show both your train ticket and your new flight booking to staff at the station and on board the train.
  • If you’ve already travelled to the airport and are returning home after your flight has been cancelled, you can use a train ticket you’ve bought for a different day to travel today.
  • Unfortunately, if your flight has been diverted to a different airport you’ll have to buy a new train ticket if you want to travel by train to your destination.
  • If you bought your train ticket from us (either at a station or online) then you can get a full refund. You’ll need to apply for this within 28 days of the date shown on the ticket.

Please speak to staff if you require any assistance with your journey.
