TERMS OF PARTICIPATION – Great Northern Rail Stamp Collection Promotion (the “Promotion”)
1. Eligibility
1.1. To be eligible each Participant must satisfy the following criteria (“Eligibility Criteria”):
a. be aged eighteen (18) years or over; and
b. have a UK postal address.
1.2. Employees of the Promotor, partner attractions (Nene Valley Railway Ltd, Cambridge Museum of Technology, City of Ely Council) and their families, dependants and agents are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
1.3. Any submissions made by persons who do not meet the Eligibility Criteria or are otherwise ineligible shall be discarded.
2. Participation
2.1. The Promotion is available via the Great Northern Rail website only.
2.2. To participate in the Promotion, Participants must:
a. travel to each of the three participating attractions listed in the official guide (Nene Valley Railway, Cambridge Museum of Technology, and Visit Ely tourist information inside Oliver Cromwell’s House);
b. present a valid Great Northern Rail ticket at each attraction and obtain the corresponding stamp in the official stamp booklet (stamp page is shown on page 13 of the guide);
c. ensure the stamps are collected in person by the Participant (third-party collection is not permitted); and
d. submit a completed claim via the online form referred to in clause 5.
2.3. By entering the Promotion, the Participant agrees to be bound by:
a. these Terms;
b. Terms of use;
c. the terms of National Rail Conditions of Travel;
d.terms and conditions applicable to visitors of Nene Valley Railway, Cambridge Museum of Technology and City of Ely.
3. Timing of Participation
3.1. Stamps may be collected from 7th November 2025 until 23:59 on 22nd February 2026, and in accordance with opening hours of the participating attractions.
3.2. Completed claims for the Reward must be submitted in accordance with clause 5 below no later than 23:59 on 22nd February 2026.
3.3. Claims received after the deadline will not be accepted, regardless of when stamps were collected.
4. Reward
4.1. Participants who:
a. meet the Eligibility Criteria;
b. collect all three required stamps; and
c. submit a valid online claim,
will be eligible to be sent via post a Great Northern soft toy, Great Northern notebook and pen, and pin badge (the “Reward”), while stocks last.
4.2. The Reward is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted unless offered at the Promotor’s discretion.
4.3. Only one claim per person is permitted.
4.4. No purchase other than valid Great Northern Rail travel and entrance to the attractions is necessary to participate.
5. Claim Process
5.1. Participants must submit their claim via the Promotor’s official online form (“Claim Form”).
5.2. The Claim Form will require the Participant to provide:
a. full name, address and contact details;
b. proof of age, if requested;
c. a clear upload of the fully stamped booklet page; and
d any other information reasonably required for verification.
5.3. The Promotor may request the Participant to present the original physical stamped booklet for inspection. Failure to do so may invalidate the claim.
5.4. The Promotor does not accept responsibility for technical failures, incomplete uploads, connectivity issues or any errors in submission.
6. Verification, Rejection and Disqualification
6.1. The Promotor has the right to refuse to accept any claim.
6.2. All claims are subject to verification. Incomplete, bulk, automated, fraudulent, third-party or otherwise invalid claims will be disqualified.
6.3. Any claims the Promotor considers (in its absolute discretion) to be dangerous, offensive, indecent, illegal, copied, or infringing on the rights of others will be disqualified.
6.4. Failure to comply with these Terms will automatically render a claim void.
6.5. The Promotor does not accept liability for claims which are late, lost, incomplete or corrupted.
7. Publication of Participant Information
7.1. The name and county/town of Participants who successfully claim a Reward may be made available for one month after the deadline upon receipt of a stamped addressed envelope to the Promotor.
7.2. If a Participant objects to their information being made available, they must notify the Promotor at the address below. However, the Promotor may still be required to provide such information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required by law.
8. Personal Data
8.1. By entering the Promotion, each Participant acknowledges and agrees that their Personal Data provided as part of the claim may be used by the Promotor for:
a. verification of eligibility;
b. administration of the Promotion;
c. marketing purposes (unless consent is withdrawn);
d. any additional purposes described in these Terms.
8.2. If a Participant wishes to withdraw consent for marketing use, they may do so in accordance with the Promotor’s Privacy Policy.
8.3. All Personal Data will be held and processed in accordance with the Promotor’s Privacy Policy.
9. General
9.1. Participants may print these Terms or request a copy by sending a self-addressed envelope to the Promotor.
9.2. The Promotor reserves the right to withdraw the Promotion or amend these Terms at any time without notice.
9.3. In the event of any dispute regarding these Terms or the Promotion, the Promotor’s decision shall be final.
9.4. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding such decisions.
9.5. No expenses incurred in connection with entry to or participation in this Promotion will be paid.
9.6 The Promotor is Govia Thameslink Railway Limited, 2nd Floor, 55 Degrees North, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NE1 6BL.
9.7. This Promotion and these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and Participants agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
