There are car parks at a lot of our stations, and it’s usually quick and easy to pay for parking.

You can pay and display, buy a parking season ticket or even reserve your own parking space all year with our Premium Parking service.

You can turn up at our car parks and pay on the day when you travel.

It’s cheaper at weekends, bank holidays and outside the rush hour during the week.

If you regularly commute from the same station you can save money by booking your parking in advance.

Pay in advance for your parking space at a Great Northern train station, get a parking season ticket or reserve a premier parking bay.

If you park at the station several times a week then it’s worth trying to save money with a car park season ticket.

You can buy a weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual ticket online, or reserve a premier parking bay to guarantee a parking space.

Fancy having your very own parking space at the station?

Pay a little extra on top of an annual season ticket to reserve a Premier Parking bay for a year.

This will give you the peace of mind of knowing you’ll always have a space at the station.

Paying on the day

Pay and display

Find out how to pay for parking on the day when you travel from a Great Northern train station.

You don’t have to buy a ticket beforehand to park at the station.

Most of the time you can simply turn up and pay on the day, using cash in a pay and display machine or a payment card.

Pay by card

All out of cash and loose change?

Don’t worry, you can pay with a credit or debit card.

Just call us on 0345 434 8008, telling us:

  • the car park’s 4-digit location code (found on signs in the car park)
  • your payment card details
  • how long you’re staying

Reply to our text with your registration number and you’re all done.

You can pay for up to 31 days parking.

Park and go

Park and Go

Park at a Great Northern station and pay in your own time using the Park & Go kiosks

If you travel from Potters Bar station you can park, jump on the train and pay later.

You don’t have to wait by a pay and display machine or go back to the car to display a ticket. Simply enter your details into the kiosk at the car park, and pay with a card or cash before you leave again.

Paying online with your mobile phone

You can pay for parking with your mobile phone once you’ve signed up for an online account.

This will make it easier to pay next time around as your details will be remembered. You can also buy a season ticket if you park at the station a lot.
