Take a boat out on the lake In the late spring and summer months row boats are available to hire at weekends. What better way to relax than listening to the gentle splashing of water as you row and soak up the views? Come out and play Queen Victoria used to play at Claremont as a child, and now so can you, with scaled-down versions of Claremont's garden features, including the grass amphitheatre and Belvedere Tower. Explore the pavilion, glide down the slide and scale the ladders and the climbing wall. Hidden in the woodland area is Badger's Basecamp. Perfect for older children to explore there are tunnels and hidey-holes to discover and crawl through, a wooden badger to meet and a large open area for den building. Café treats Enjoy a family-friendly menu of seasonally inspired dishes, featuring light lunches, soups, one pots and sandwiches, with children’s and vegetarian options available.
