What type of Anytime ticket do I need?

With an Anytime Day Single ticket, you can travel on any train you want – but you must use your ticket within the date shown on your ticket up until 4.29am the next morning.

An Anytime Return ticket lets you travel out on the date shown on your ticket or at any point within five days. You have a calendar month in which to make the return leg of the journey, so you don’t need to rush back if you’d rather take an extra day or three.

If you’re going there and back on the same day and want the whole timetable open to you, the Anytime Day Return is for you. Just make sure you’ve done all your travelling by 4.29am!

London Calling? Take advantage of the Anytime Day Travelcard. Much like the Anytime Day Return, it lets you travel to and from London on the same day – but with unlimited Tube, DLR, Tram, London Overground and bus trips too.

When are Anytime train tickets valid?

Anytime! The only thing you need to bear in mind is that you might not be able to use a certain train operator with your ticket. Some Anytime tickets on the Great Northern route are only valid if you go via Cambridge too.
