Getting to the station by bus

Find out about buses and bus routes going to Great Northern stations, and asking for help getting on or off the bus at the station.

Bus stops and train stations

It’s easy to get to most of our stations by bus.

There are regular buses from all of our London stations to take you wherever you like in the capital.

You can get a line2line bus from St Albans to Hatfield station if you’re joining our train service there.

You can buy a PlusBus pass to get around a lot of towns and cities in the East of England by bus and train. Check if PlusBus covers your area.

Alternative bus routes

We use buses for rail replacement services from time to time when there are problems on the line.

We’ve also suggested alternative routes for getting to your destination in the event of cancellations or delays.

Help getting on and off the bus

If you need help getting around, we can give you a hand on or off a bus at the station.

You’ll need to book assisted travel beforehand so we can arrange for someone to help.

We can also help you get a bus or taxi if the station you want to travel from doesn’t have step-free access.

The bus or taxi will take you to an accessible station where you can catch your train.
