Service updates

Up-to-the-minute information about current engineering works and any other service disruptions on Great Northern.

Train Service Updates & Status

  • The ASLEF union have announced that strike action will take place on:

    • Wednesday 4 October

    No Thameslink, Great Northern or Gatwick Express services will run on this day.  A limited Southern service will run, calling at Gatwick Airport and London Victoria only.

    There will also be a ban on overtime on:

    • Monday 2 October until Friday 6 October (inclusive).

    An amended timetable with fewer services will run on these days. Services will be busier than usual, especially in peak hours.

    We have been informed industrial action will also take place on London Underground on the following dates:

    • Wednesday 4 October
    • Friday 6 October
