On 2 January 2019 most of our rail fares will rise.
The changes are based on the Retail Prices Index (RPI) figure for July 2018, which was 3.2%.
The following will also apply from 2 January 2019:
- The price for accompanied child flat fare remains at £2 (on available routes).

We will introduce a weekday Super Off-Peak Single, Day Return and One Day Travelcard tickets, from these Great Northern stations:

The time restrictions for these tickets are: Mondays to Fridays (not public holidays):
Outward journey – This is not valid on trains arriving into London before 10:55
Return journey – This is not valid on trains scheduled to depart any London Terminal after 04:29 and before 10:55.
This is not valid on trains timed to depart from the following London Terminals after 16:29 or before 19:02
- London Kings Cross
- London St. Pancras International
This is not valid on trains scheduled to pass through London St Pancras International after 16:29 or before 19:02, regardless of where you join or leave the train.
Travelcards are valid for use between these times within London Fare Zones 1-6.
As a result of the introduction of these tickets, the current evening peak restriction, that applies on the return portion of an Off Peak Day Return, will be removed. This applies to fares from the majority of these stations to:
- London Terminals
- London Thameslink
- London Zones 1-6 One Day Travelcard
