If you don’t already have a Key Smartcard, you can get one today at one of the stations listed here using our new Key Smartcard Kiosk, so there is no need to wait for your card in the post.

What are the benefits compared to a paper season ticket? If you switch over to the Key Smartcard, you can renew online and get auto delay repay. It is more durable than a paper ticket and if you lose it, we will replace it for you.

Kiosk FAQs

At the Key Smartcard Kiosk, you can:

  • Create an online account
  • Dispense your Adult Key Smartcard (16+ years)

If you already have an online account with Great Northern, Southern or Thameslink, you will be able to login and print your first Key Smartcard from the Kiosk.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Child Key Smartcards (5-15 years) are only available online. Register for one here.
  • Replacement Adult Key Smartcards cannot be issued from the Kiosk. Login to your online account here to order a new Key Smartcard if it has been lost, stolen or damaged.
  • Tickets cannot be purchased from the Kiosk. you can purchase Smart tickets from the station Ticket Machines or buy your Smart Season ticket online.

Touch the screen and follow the instructions

  • Enter your email address (If you already have an online account with us, enter your password and confirm your details)
  • Enter (or confirm) your name and address
  • Press ‘Confirm’, and your Key Smartcard will be issued

You will receive an email confirming your Key Smartcard registration.

The Kiosk can only issue Adult Key Smartcards to new customers. If you need a replacement, you can login to your online account here to make your request under the Key Smartcard section. If you need a Child Key Smartcard, you can register for one here.
When you order a replacement through your online account, any tickets you have on your Key Smartcard are automatically loaded and ready to use when your new Key Smartcard arrives in the post. Unfortunately, the Kiosk is unable to reload any tickets and therefore replacement Key Smartcards can only be requested online. Login here if you need a replacement Key Smartcard now.
Our Child Key Smartcards are different from Adult Key Smartcards. They require a photo and proof of age before the Child Key Smartcard can be issued, which the Kiosk is unable to do. Order your Child Key Smartcard here.

Coming in 2020

Thameslink, Southern, and Great Northern ticket offices will be upgraded to be able to issue Key Smartcards and sell Smart tickes. Keep checking our website for updates.
